The Infinite Faces of Love
About
Imagine love not as a rose in a garden, but as a maze of thousands of faces, where every glance leaves a scar, and every sigh whispers “I love.” “The Infinite Faces of Love: as long as I Breathe, I Love” is an epic of long poems for those who have experienced passion and loss. From the first spark (“We met each other face to face” — chapter I), the struggle (“I won’t let you rest” — chapter II) and farewell (“Goodbye” — chapter IV) to prayers of hope (chapter III) - this is the saga of love that won.. The epilogue of “I will stay” shines like a dazzling star: “There is a dazzling star at the end of the tunnel, / But my pulse still says: live for me” — a song that does not let go.For women and men over the age of 20 who are tired of sweet fairy tales, but who are looking for the truth: love is pain that gives rise to strength. As a bonus: a link to the author’s YouTube channel with songs to selected poems from the collection, including “I’ll stay” - let the words sing. Immerse yourself in this maze. While you’re breathing, love

Praise for this book
★★★★★ There is a universality to this book because who among us has not experienced love and lost it - whether it was a high school romance that soured and led to a parting of the ways or, on the other end of the spectrum, the loss of a spouse in old age. In writing a book like this, an author inevitably exposes a part of themselves to public view, and I cannot help wondering if one poem, entitled "Forgive Me," is reflective of something the writer experienced in her own life. The poem takes the reader through several stages of a relationship - from the initial physical attraction two people have for each other ("A fire I stoked with every heartbeat yet"), the realization that one person is maturing faster emotionally than the other ("The me I am growing into"), and the post mortem on the relationship ("You were just a passing storm"). "Someday" also strikes me as a poem about 'lessons learned' when it says "No more I leap headfirst into the flame." In addition to being adept at creating interesting metaphors (e.g. "Words like bullets thundered through the air), the author has a good command of English. One word in the book, "fugue," was unfamiliar to me, so I looked it up in the dictionary - and found a 30-word definition that contained 2 more terms I had to look up separately! For some readers this book will be a pleasant trip down memory lane, while for others it will serve as a reminder of the heartache they endured on the road to finding their true soul mate.
★★★★★ Fair disclosure: I'm usually not that much into poetry, but I recently read another book by this author and really enjoyed it, so I decided to give this one a try. And I’m so glad I did!
Gemma’s poems touched something deep inside me—parts of my soul I’d long lost touch with. I really didn't expect to feel this much. They have this dreamlike, almost trance-like quality that just transports you to another reality. And that’s only the beginning—because at the end of the book, Gemma shares links to her YouTube channels, and that’s where the real magic happens.
Now, imagine all those beautiful poems set to the magnificent music Gemma writes and performs herself. And just wait until you hear her voice!
Oh, and I haven’t even mentioned the mesmerizing videos yet.
I mean, how much talent can one person have? It really should be illegal.
In short, just buy the book—you'll thank me later.
