It started with a burst of frustration after my book was rejected for the fourth time. I muttered:
"May Bleed bite them all!"
And suddenly, something shifted.
That moment gave birth to Bleed — a slightly manic, utterly chaotic, yet weirdly helpful little gremlin. Since then, Bleed has not only haunted my creative process but also become a co-author and full-fledged character in my world of bookmaking.
He's the one who knocks over the ink bottle, hides your PDF files, and causes mysterious formatting glitches at 2 a.m. But he's also the one who keeps things lively and reminds me not to take it all too seriously.
In a strange way, Bleed is my coping mechanism — a way to laugh at the endless maze of publishing platforms, formatting rules, and algorithmic gatekeepers. And now, he’s here to stay.
Welcome to my chaotic but honest creative journey.
With a wink and a smudge of ink,
Gemma Ray
